Human Cruelty

I’m not a fan of PETA. A lot of people jump down my throat because I say that I loathe PETA. It’s not because, “[I] hate animals” or “[I'm] cruel to animals.”
It’s because PETA seems to think that animal rights are more important than human rights.
PETA seems to think that Rosa Parks should have to sit at the back of the bus if her dog wants to sit up front.
PETA seems to think that it’s okay to bomb the home of the owner of a slaughter house because he kills animals for a living.
PETA seems to think that it’s okay to impede in the lives of every day people just to save the life of a useless animal.
PETA neglects to mention the bombing incident. They neglect to mention that many of their members wear fur on a normal basis. They’re all about playing mind games. I mean, I guess they’re not too bad, saving some animals.
In 2007, and I’m quoting a reputable website here, PETA took in 1,997 animals, adopted out 17, killed 1815, and transferred 35. I don’t know what happened to the other 130, but it still shows that PETA killed 90.9% of the defenseless creatures that they would kill humans to protect.
My favorite on a list of 7 things you didn’t know about PETA:
” PETA has given tens of thousands of dollars to convicted arsonists and other violent criminals. This includes a 2001 donation of $1,500 to the North American Earth Liberation Front (ELF), an FBI-certified “domestic terrorist” group responsible for dozens of firebombs and death threats. During the 1990s, PETA paid $70,200 to Rodney Coronado, an Animal Liberation Front (ALF) serial arsonist convicted of burning down a Michigan State University research laboratory. In his sentencing memorandum, a federal prosecutor implicated PETA president Ingrid Newkirk in that crime. PETA vegetarian campaign coordinator Bruce Friedrich has also told an animal rights convention that “blowing stuff up and smashing windows” is “a great way to bring about animal liberation,” adding, “Hallelujah to the people who are willing to do it.” “
They should get some class. Like the SPCA. Now that’s a group I can respect.
The Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is a very admirable, non-profit, group aimed at ending cruelty towards animals. They have been serving communities around the world for over 100 years, and remain dedicated to finding good care for animals. This is a group I can respect, and sadly, I can’t say much about them because I have nothing to nag them about. They’re supported by The Beastie Boys. What else can be said?
The point of this post is not supporting cruelty to animals. In fact, if you are cruel to animals I hope you realize the error of your ways and repent.
The point of this post is to get the word out about PETA and their evil, human and animal killing ways. The dirty fucks.
Enjoy your night,
Danny Methane.

[...] not partaking in packaged beef won’t change the system. My stance on this sort of parallels Dan’s feelings on PETA and the SPCA. Animals don’t deserve abuse just for existing. However, they’re [...]
Well put. I have an entry on the same subject, but it focuses more on their ruthless and unethical manipulation of the media. Here’s the link if you’re interested: http://lauriebethsgrotto.wordpress.com/2009/06/19/peta-is-a-pita/
